  Our Garden of Giving

In 2010 we decided to fight HUNGER. We teamed up with Urban Farming Co-Founder, Joyce Lapinsky, and built a beautiful Garden at the Gan Chabad Early Childhood Center (GCEC)  dubbed the "Garden of Giving".  The Urban Farming™ mission is to create an abundance of food for people in need by supporting and encouraging the establishment of gardens on unused land and space while increasing diversity, raising awareness for health and wellness, and inspiring and educating youth, adults and seniors to create an economically sustainable system to uplift communities around the globe.

The children at GCEC take turns tending to the garden and to date have grown beets, collards, lettuce, carrots, strawberries, broccoli, basil, cilantro and cucumbers. All the fruit and vegetables are donated to the local food bank- ours being the West LA food bank.
